Xinming Yi is a Shanghai-based illustrator currently working in Toronto, working preliminarily in digital painting. Xinming Yi received her degree in illustration from OCAD University in 2022.
The Twins depicts the unique relationship of estranged and united twins in the context of their individual stories to imply the twins are the other half of themselves in the world. While helping each other become better versions of themselves. The body of work is inspired by Xinming Yi herself, who has a twin sibling of her own.

How long have you been creating art?
I have been interested in drawing and painting since I was a child, and I started learning to paint professionally when I was 15.
When did you start making art, and why?
I start making art when I was 15. I want to show my point of view of the universe through my work of art.
